Enjin and Korea Mobile Game Association Collaborate to Boost Blockchain Adoption Within The Korean M

Enjin signs Agreement with Korea Mobile Game Association and Korea Blockchain Contents Association to promote growth and development of South Korea’s blockchain game industry.

Enjin, which has been adopted as the default blockchain game development platform by a number of global game developers, will make an official introduction into the South Korean game development market by collaborating with leading mobile game industry player Korea Mobile Game Association (KMGA) and the Korea Blockchain Contents Association (KBCA).

“We’re very excited to enter into a partnership with Enjin, which has a first-class blockchain ecosystem,” said Seong-ik Hwang, Chairman of Korea Mobile Game Association. “Going forward, we will work together to serve as a bridge to the blockchain industry.”

Enjin, KMGA, and KBCA have signed an MOU to boost blockchain game development and increase Enjin’s presence in South Korea. The agreement outlines cooperative measures the three parties will take as part of their collaboration, including:

  • providing support for domestic mobile games to utilize the Enjin platform;

  • expanding Enjin’s presence as a blockchain business platform in South Korea’s mobile game industry;

  • identifying and securing potential adopters of Enjin’s blockchain development platform; and

  • participating in various blockchain game development events and seminars.

Our mobile cryptocurrency wallet is currently available, and we’re nearing release of the Blockchain SDK for Unity, which will be accessible to 4.5 million Unity developers,” said Enjin CEO Maxim Blagov. Working with KMGA and KBCA will help us better serve the South Korean market and increase development of blockchain games by Korean developers.

“We’re also set to release blockchain explorer EnjinX, which will be like the Google of blockchain, as well as Efinity, our Ethereum scaling solution,” Blagov added. “Aligned with the country’s games market, our tools will help establish a powerful blockchain game industry in South Korea.”

This new partnership comes on the heels of Enjin’s recent announcement of their participation in the Blockchain Game Alliance, a coalition of organizations committed to advocating for the democratization of blockchain within the gaming industry.

Enjin recently launched smart contracts on Mainnet, Ethereum’s public blockchain, and announced the innovative ERC-1155 Ethereum token standard. Since then, a number of game developers have adopted ERC-1155 and used it to integrate blockchain-based items into their games. Most recently, Enjin launched “Mintshop,” the world’s first made-to-order blockchain item creation service that enables users to create their own custom ERC-1155 blockchain items in minutes.
