Nimbus Interactive announces plans to use the Enjin Platform to integrate blockchain-based items into Containment Corps, an online multiplayer experience that mixes first-person action with cooperative strategy and tower defense elements, currently available to play on Steam.

Nimbus Interactive, the developers of Containment Corps, have announced via Steam that they will use the Enjin Platform and ERC-1155 token standard to integrate blockchain-based virtual items into Containment Corps. The team plans to utilize tokenized in-game rewards, community trading, and item scarcity to create a thriving community of players and collectors that will help fuel their growing ecosystem.
By giving players permanent, true ownership of their gaming items, the forward-thinking developers aim to inject tangible real-world value into the gameplay of Containment Corps, which mixes first-person action with cooperative strategy and tower defense elements. As a studio, Nimbus Interactive will utilize blockchain-based assets to create new revenue streams, marketing hooks, and funding mechanisms, enabling them to meet high-level KPIs for monetization, valuation, virality, and player retention.
An online multiplayer cooperative first-person experience, Containment Corps combines elements of resource management and traditional first-person shooter themes to create an exhilarating team-based encounter in which players are called upon to quell an uprising of contaminated swamp creatures.
The Enjin Platform enables developers of all experience levels to easily create, integrate, and manage blockchain-based item into their games, apps, and websites. Developers seeking to gain a competitive edge will soon be able to use Enjin’s Blockchain Software Development Kit (SDK) for Unity, the world’s largest game development platform. Upon its public release, Unity will list the Blockchain SDK on the front page of the Unity Asset Store, enabling 4.5 million game developers to mint ERC-1155 tokens and manage complex gameplay mechanics through transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.
The Enjin Platform has already been very successful in attracting talented developers to the Ethereum blockchain. To date, sixteen game developers have announced their adoption of Enjin’s tools and are integrating Ethereum-based ERC-1155 tokens into 34 games as items and characters. Twenty-nine of those games have banded together to form ‘a multiverse’ of gaming worlds, which will allow their players to own their items and characters forever and use them across all participating games and platforms.

To celebrate their adoption of the Enjin Platform and Ethereum blockchain, Nimbus Interactive is hosting a giveaway and will distribute Containment Corps Founders’ Tokens to first 750 users that join their Discord channel.
