Our European ambassador Yacine Hamdada returned from a 2 day experience at the annual Blockchain Game Summit located in the heart of Lyon, France on one of the most amazing venues: the Musée des Confluences between September 25th & 26th Yacine Hamdada had a great chance to meet amazing innovators, game developers, service providers and industry experts from the blockchain gaming industry

First of all, we would like to thank the B2Expand team for this huge event. B2Expand was born from a family project, now a thriving company incorporating two major strengths: blockchain technology and gaming. The founders’ first video game project, Beyond the Void, was designed based on the goal of “Bringing back true ownership to players”. The company was formalized in January 2017, following the ICO launch, to support the continued project development.

A conference driven by great names The most influential blockchain and gaming companies was there to explain there plans and why the blockchain technology is useful for the gaming in the future. Here are the general ideas from the speakers and the people we meet during the summit

Ubisoft presented their first blockchain-based game prototype. Hashcraft, a treasure hunting and islands exploration game, imagine Megacraft combined with Fortnite and No Man’s Sky where players directly contribute to expand the world by creating their own island, hiding their own treasures and setting their own challenges to other.

Jon Jordan: Jon Jordan offered a high level view of the sector, sharing his idea on the subject and his crypto-currency capital ( BCY, CHI, DSG, ENJ, KIN, MANA, PLAT, RCC, RFR, TVT, WAVES, WAX )

Knabu CEO Gabrielle Patrick, Arrived at Lyon to present their project, Gabrielle described how the technology could make financial transactions less costly and more efficient through the use of P2P transactions, disintermediation of third party processes, and processing time. Gabrielle was joined by several others including Emma Weston of AgriDigital, and Ian Grigg, a financial cryptographer and inventor of the Ricardian Contract. Everdreamsoft, product and business manager Nicolas Sierro shared his insights from blockchain game activities since 2015. How to integrate blockchain in the game industry and why players are ready to pay for gaming assets as token. Everdreamsoft is currently working on "Casa Tookan" a wallet who allow the user to manage his digital assets. The wallet basis of Casa Tookan will integrate Bitcoin and Ethereum Blockchain assets at its core. Playing upon its name ‘casa’ meaning ‘house’, the project will then extend outwards as mentioned, to include third-party applications and a newsreader with the much more anticipated atomic swaps roadmapped for development later on.
