In addition to the launch of Enjin’s Blockchain SDK for Unity, which enables 4.5 million Unity game developers to create, integrate, and manage blockchain assets with ease, Enjin has also launched the Enjin Platform, delivering an API compatible with every popular coding language that is now accessible to the world’s 26 million software developers. Enjin will showcase these tools at GDC next week, where the team is also sponsoring GDC’s Blockchain Day alongside Ubisoft.

Enjin has released their highly-anticipated Blockchain SDK for Unity, enabling 4.5 million Unity developers to create and integrate blockchain assets through a graphical user interface. In addition to the Blockchain SDK, the Ethereum-based development team has also launched the Enjin Platform, a robust, powerful suite of tools and services that enable developers to create and manage blockchain games with all popular coding languages. This launch provides the world’s 26 million developers access to integrate blockchain into any type of software using the popular programming languages they are already accustomed to—making the use of blockchain technology easier and more accessible than ever before.

Created by Enjin CTO Witek Radomski and developed alongside a thriving community of leading Github developers, ERC-1155 has been heralded as the next-generation Ethereum token standard, building on the features of ERC-20 and ERC-721. Known as the Multi Token Standard, ERC-1155 enables developers to create unlimited fungible (identical) and non-fungible (unique) assets with a single smart contract — resulting in faster transaction times, significantly lower gas fees, and the ability to mass produce tokens with ease.

The Enjin Platform is powered by Enjin Coin, a minting resource required to create Ethereum-based ERC-1155 blockchain assets with the platform. By minting assets with the Enjin Platform, developers lock the ENJ they use inside those assets, which acts as a certificate of authenticity and provides a reserve value to those assets. Currently, 45 games, apps, and websites are using the unreleased version of Enjin’s tools to create and integrate ERC-1155 assets, and over 41 million ERC-1155 assets containing nearly 9 million ENJ have already been minted.

Enjin will be showcasing their platform at the world’s largest game industry conference, GDC, which saw a record attendance of over 28,000 attendees last year. At the event, Enjin will demo these blockchain development tools along with six game developers that are currently building with the Enjin Platform. Interested developers can stop by booth S563, located near Intel, Sony, and Microsoft, from March 20-22 to learn more about Enjin’s tools, try out the Platform, and see blockchain games and the Multiverse in action.

Enjin is also hosting the Official GDC Blockchain Mixer alongside gaming giant Ubisoft and the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) at 6:30pm on March 21 in the Moscone Center, West Level 2 Overlook 2022. GDC attendees are invited to the Mixer for happy hour and networking with blockchain industry leaders, game developers, and BGA members.

About Enjin Since its founding in 2009, Enjin has been deeply involved with the gaming industry. The same year, the company launched a gaming community platform called the Enjin Network and has grown it to more than 20 million users over the course of a decade. In 2017 following a successful ICO that raised $23 million, Enjin established itself as a leading blockchain ecosystem developer, building a suite of user-first blockchain products that enable anyone to easily create, manage, trade, store, explore, distribute, and integrate blockchain assets.

Built on top of a robust on-chain infrastructure and comprised of the Enjin Platform, Explorer, Wallet, Beam, and other tools and services, the Enjin ecosystem empowers gamers with true ownership of digital assets and enables game industry businesses to increase revenue, gain a competitive edge, and innovate in previously impossible ways. Forged in gaming, Enjin’s tools and services can also be used by companies of all sizes and industries seeking to create blockchain products or utilize tokenized digital assets as part of their acquisition, retention, engagement, and monetization strategies. The Enjin ecosystem is fueled by Enjin Coin (ENJ), an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency used to directly back the value of next-generation blockchain assets.
